Search ain't working: Impulse preorder gives beta access?

Now that I've gone through the move and life is returning to only a minor frenetic pace, I gave serious thought to preordering the game.  After all, I KNOW I'll be buying it.  (Let's see.... love HOMM, Civ... Gal Civ... hmm... this might be a problem.)

My question though, is should I preorder through the site or through impulse?  My tendency is to order through impulse (they make these things too convenient), but I just want to ensure I'm not going to be missing out on the beta, you know?

I honestly did try the search function...

IIRC, if you preorder through the site, it redirects you to the impulse store, so it shouldn't matter, you should be let in when Beta 2 starts (next Thursday).

We *are* Impulse, so either is fine.

Thanks!  I just prefer ordering through the client, as opposed to the webpage |-) .

Thanks for the quick answer!  One more headed your way!

If we preorder now, how will we know when we can get into the beta?

Well, you'll get an email, you will get charged, and it should appear in your My Games tab in Impulse.

... so long as you tell impulse to show pre-release versions.  It's in the preferences in impulse (top left menu, preferences, should be the very first check-mark).

Ordinarily, your games tab doesn't show beta's (or alphas, should you be in one.)

Yep, I forgot about that!
