East India Company - Activation problems.

Lots of people are having problems with this game. 

My problem is that i bought the game brand new yesterday and i installed it today.  I entered the correct e-mail address and my serial.  There was a problem with the initial installation and i had to re-install and of course now it tells me my serial key is already in use. 

Whats my next move?  Paradox will only tell me to deal with stardock.

Everything i keep reading from paradox , points me to stadock.  It will not allow me to complete setup telling me my key is in use.  ive only entered it once with my e-mail and i cant finish installation. 

i cant install any patches because the game isnt fully installed. 

Please help me with a reponse.
