Late, late, late again

Running late again on putting a new article up... actually probably with a reasonable excuse as yet again I was busy cleaning around the house.  Today I went through several bins of items in my storage shed.  At least 3 bins of clothing and other items that I'll be passing along (through my parents) to charity, or which will be used as rags if necessary.  By the time I was done with my cleaning and sorting of that material I had taken a fair amount of stuff out of the shed.

On the other hand, I also put together a batch of items that had been waiting to go out to the shed (which is part of what inspired the cleanup of the items there today).  So, while I'd like to think that the net results were that some items were removed from the shed, I'd have to be honest and say it was probably a zero sum game.

I did wind up putting together a big box (xerox paper case sized) of papers for shredding.  If Staples or Office Depot will do that work for me, I'm gonna go that route as it's just too much stuff to run through a smaller shredder.

In organizing all of that paper I freed up a bunch of folders and several file boxes.  I thought I was making good progress in that area but apparently I was mistaken as I found yet another stash of paper that I had not expected.  There was a backpack full of papers that I didn't realize had relatively recent (as in recent enough that I should file the materials away, rather than simply destroy them) papers.  Medical paperwork (flex spending, explanation of benefits, etc.) and similar stuff, along with insurance bills, credit card statements and other items.  I should have expected to find that stuff somewhere since the materials that I've been finding and had been destroying was all old and I hadn't, thus far, found newer stuff but I was disappointed by the amount that I found in the backpack and the thought that I just don't seem to be making that much progress.

After I take the bins of items down to my parents home tomorrow and see the relatively empty space where those bins had been I suppose I'll feel better about where things stand, but then I know I've still got plenty to clean-up and deal with.  I am most definitely looking forward to having things to a point I might be able to call "done" but I'm not counting on that happening for several more weeks still.

Gonna have to call it a night here for now.  The late hour is hitting me now as I sit and type before falling asleep.
