Goodbye 24... hello most Monday evenings

The finale of 24 (the series) has come and gone and now we get to look forward to a possible movie.  I sat through all of the various seasons and also watched the movie that preceeded last season.  I asked myself more than a few times along the way why I was torturing myself by continuing to watch the mess that 24 had become but it would go on and return to form in the next season, or part of a season, and I'd slowly but surely forget about how bad things had gotten for the series.  This season was, at least at times, among the worst of the worst.  By the end the series started to turn back around and show glimmers of how great it had been, but not without turning many of the characters around completely from what we had known of them.  I wish the season had been more consistent, but given the guys in charge of the series, I expect we got the best we could get from them.

At least my Monday nights will be relatively free now, at least for a while.  That makes it easier to sit and watch baseball without feeling as if I'm falling behind in TV watching.

I am still behind on a few series (Justified among them) but hope to catch up over the next few days.  Perhaps I can do that while continuing to clean and organize in my bedroom.

It's getting late tonite, so I'm gonna keep this one short.  Yeah, I know you've heard that before, but this time...

The closest I get to watching a regular show is Sons of Anarchy (the Shield prior to this one) it goes for 3 months at a time. I haven't watched a network program religiously since "Seinfeld". Most times there is something good on the History channel or National Geographic and it doesn't require a weekly commitment.

I use to be a big fan of 24, at least the last 3 years, but this season was hard to catch as I have been into my PC gaming for a while now and just never remembered the show. I did download the episodes and have them on my portable drive ready to watch and was able to watch the first 5 episodes but have never gotten back to it.

I don't watch much TV these days so no big loss here. |-O
