Just so I am completely clear on Beta status, I have very recently (today) pre-ordered the game.  So will this get me into the next Beta that is due very shortly?  From what I have read elsewhere it does look that way.  I just want to be sure that I will be eligible to download the Beta and provide feedback and issue information.

It is said that beta will probably start on this thursday, maybe some later. But it's definetely close :)

Beta access is currently closed. We will open the beta for

I may be wrong, but I vaguely recall having this issue as well.  I think it has to do with the timing of when Stardock makes the charge and Paypal's inability to handle the preorder.   I ended up using a credit card for my order.

Is there a way to pre-order using paypal? I'd like to pre-order through stardock so that I can get access to Beta 2, but the system won't allow me to use Paypal for pre-orders. I don't even mind paying for the game up front, if it'll grant me Beta 2 access.

The way paypal handles things prevents us from doing delayed charges as we'd normally do, but you can use paypal during the window for a short while after Beta 2 opens. In that time all new preorders will charge immediately.

any idea on how long that window is likely to be, i know a few people who are waiting on seeing the game before pre-ordering, and as silly as they are for waiting for this game, i wouldn't mind getting them over too see it before the window expires so they can still preorder:).

Oh I missed that post in my "panic attacks" sorry.  That makes me feel so much better I been emailing customer service at Stardock they probably hate me by now *embarrassed*. I Hope it will be at least for the day that it will be available to do via paypal because I have to work part of the day. *thinks* I will get up at midnight and see if the system will let me then *evil look*

The Betas generally stay open for 1-2 weeks, so no problem there.

Oh thanks for the reply. I am sure everyone can tell I have never really "loved" a game this much to actually pre order and want to participate in beta... well I lie I love Nwn so much that I keep buying new copies of it  just to keep it relevant and give the game away to friends and relatives that wish for it. I will be doing the same with Elemental once I am sure it will be all that I think it is. I found out with Nwn if people have the game they at least try it but if they have to buy it most of the times they just do not ever get around to it even those that I know would be keen to it.
