Well and thoroughly soaked...

For now I think I'm well, but in a few days that may change due to how thoroughly soaked I got today (actually it's yesterday at the point I'm typing this).

Daughter and I went out to a concert where we got poured on for about 3.5 hours before finally being permitted to get into our seats.  We had to wait longer to get into the show than we were supposed to (stupid facility didn't seem near as organized as they were supposed to be, at least not for that, and then seemed too organized in other ways that were also irritating) and once we got into the show, we couldn't get access to our seats for the better part of 2.5 hours.  Argh.

The show itself was really good.  Several acts on a side stage that warmed up the crowd a bit despite a constant rain that soaked everyone (well, except for the acts that were on the stage under cover).  After those acts were finished with their sets, about 2.25 hours after getting in the gates, we finally got to sit in the seats we'd paid for.  By then we were so wet it barely mattered that our seats were under cover, rather than out on the lawn.

Decent seats, with a great view of the show really.

We're headed back to the same facility in a few weeks.  Hopefully for the next trip there we'll get to stay dry.  I know we'll be better prepared for the possibility of rain next time.  (Too bad I didn't remember that I had rain ponchos in my car before we went in the gates.  If I had remembered that, we could have stayed a bit more dry, but given the amount of rain that fell, we probably would still have gotten pretty wet.

Seems appropriate though, given the name of the concert tour we were in attendance at.  Brad Paisley's H2O tour.

Awesome show.  That man can lay the licks down on a guitar for sure.

Oh well, sorry for being late, but I did warn in advance that this one might not come through until late today.  Catch everyone again soon hopefully.
