[3.02][Crash] yet again

I can't get very far and always crash on clicking next turn when my sovereign is near the trolls to the south.

I finally got dropbox.  Here are the files and a save game before the crash.

If your at .302 (1Z3) I would highly recommend a full UNISTALL, then delete ALL related Dir, both C:\programs\((x86))\Stardock Games and then the Profile based dirs c:\My Documents\%username%\then reinstall. If your up to it. Run a Registry cleaning pass as well, at your own risk though. Do not go in there unless you know what can happen if you mess up. ;)

I have found that after some updates, the best solution was a full remove and reinstall from scratch. 1Z4 awaits though. :)

My 1Z3 has not crashed to desktop yet. But only froze and not responded! So i had to Ctr + Alt + Del to shut it down! I believe 1Z4 should be the one that push us forward to Beta 2!

Following the suggestion of John Hughes I did a full uninstall and re-install. (Though I didn't mess with my registry.) I still get crashes.  I even tried reloading the save game above and it crashed after a few more turns.  Obviously from all the other crash reports, Elemental is still missing a certain robustness and stability.  I'm hoping that this is resolved shortly as I'm really looking forward to this game.

Are you getting any more turns after the re-install. I noted your .err file listed only 23 turn before the crash. I have been crashing as well but have seen games up to 460, then it won't reload.

Your machine seems Robust enough. I run a Quad Core 2.5ghz as well. Just upped to 5GB's on board.

I still suspect memory as the culprit though. 1Z4 may be the ticket as it is a 2 week spacing. ;)

Can you try updating your display drivers and see if that helps?  Thanks! :)

My display drivers are up-to-date.  ("Update your drivers" is the last gasp of the desperate support person.)

My computer is equipped with middle-of-the-road, fairly vanilla, garden-variety hardware and software; not particularly high-end but definitely not obsolete or under-powered.  (see the dxdiag).  If others with similar set-ups have crashes I think that there is some more essential issues.  I have no problems with a wide assortment of other games and programs.

Still hoping the next update gets this fixed.

Maybe updating your driver won't help, but your nvidia driver is not up-to-date. - Driver Date: 6/26/2009

This is the latest WHQL x64 Win7 [your OS] nvidia driver for the 9800GT [your gfx card] - http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_winvista_64bit_197.45_whql.html [Driver Date: 4/13/2010]

I use the free version of drivermax to check what drivers need updating.  It's not perfect or the easiest to use, but it works ok for me.
