[0.302 Gameplay] Shield passed to hired hero

After my sovereign had picked up a shield and sword that she didn't need, I decided to test out the new ability to pass items between sovereigns and heroes.  I had hired Bannon Highsley, so I passed the items to him and equipped them.  The sword increased his attack stats as expected, but the kite shield, which is supposed to add +1 defense, only added +0.5 defense:

You would experience the same thing if you create a custom sovereign with 5 dexterity and  add him a shield with only 1 defense.

So I guesse that Bannon has only 5 in dexterity but we have no way to check this

BTw, have you tried to put the mouse over the def stats of Bannon? It should display th calculation ...

Yes, you're right.  He does only have 5 dexterity, so that explains it.  This is not a bug.
