[0.302][Bug/Gameplay] Finished building shows under construction

In my current game every time I load it several of the buildings in one of my cities are slightly faded with the underconstruction hammer next to them. They still seem to produce but I can't demolish them and they aren't showing up in the queue. I noticed it after I loaded from my gaming freezing. Even later saves and loading them the buildings remain in their current state of limbo.

Interesting...did it crash after researching a tech (if you remember)? I could see it crashing on auto-upgrade/autosave and getting confused on reload. Otherwise that's quite the head-scratcher :\  THanks for the save file, I'll give it a look!

The game didn't crash. It was one of those times that it froze when I hit the end turn button. I tend to give it about 5 minutes of "freeze" time to see if it's just taking a long time to do something. But part of the way I can tell it's locked up is it won't let me bring up the Options with Esc or scroll the map by moving the cursor to the edge.

The issue with the buildings stuck in construction limbo though happen after I loaded the game and I can seem to play it fine otherwise. I'm not sure if when it froze it was in the process of auto-saving and maybe the save file got corrupted and that is the source of the bug. Though if that were the case I would of thought it wouldn't load at all with a corrupt file.

It seems like a very specific bug that is effecting different buildings. The Market, Granary, and others I can't remember. But both of those don't have an "upgrade" building type. And it's only in that one city none of the others. Some of my other save game files I put up recently with the crash when I R&D Housing are simply later points in this same game so not sure if that is connected. But even if it's not those buildings are still showing the graphic for "under construction" even though it is now many turns later.

Heh. This happened to me in Beta 1z2 ALOT. The game would freeze (usually upon hitting the end turn button) ... sometimes its very thoroughly frozen and I have to completely abandon the game. However, SOMETIMES it will loosen enough for me to save the game. Once I load the game (usually after exiting game first) almost ALL buildings will be "seen" as under construction, however for all intents and purposes they were actually built.

For buildings actually under construction at the time of the anomaly, they will still be successfully built and show as built upon completion as normal. Its only all the pre-existing structures that are indefinitely stuck in "under construction graphics" ... if I recall correctly, once you save such a game and re-load, the buildings will once again reappear as normal.

I found some instances where buildings that were completed would still be considered under construction because it was comparing the labor done on the building to the current labor needed to complete a building of that type to determine if it was "completed," instead of just checking if it had finished construction.  Because cities can increase/decrease the amount of time needed to complete a building through other buildings and abilities and stuff like that, this would cause some buildings to be considered under construction all of a sudden.  I've fixed this for the next update, though.  Hopefully this is the same thing you guys were seeing on load, it was just more apparent then because the improvement icons would be recreated to show the hammer in the corner, whereas it was probably failing those construction tests more silently before you saved.
