[BUG/GAMEPLAY] Regal/Distrusted Cost

This needs changed.  Regal is +10 relations bonus for only 1 point cost, however Distrusted is -10 relations and gives you 3 points.  So if you want 2 extra points all you'd need to do is click on Regal and Distrusted, they equal each other out and you come off with 2 free points.

I'm actually of the opinion that 'weaknesses' should only give a fraction of he points back that their 'srengths' counterpart gives. So I see...

Regal: +10 Relations Bonus (-2pts)
Distrusted: -10 Relations Penalty (+1pt)

I also think those should be exclusive (seleting one should deselect the other).

But yeah, thanks for poining that one out :)

I don't remember Regal description right now but maybe they don't need to be exclusive. What I really mean is that there could be cases where it would make sense that you can have at the sae time some mertis and flaws that form a "value/effect" point of view contradict each other. If you picked Totally Blind, you shouldn't be able to pick Eagle Eyes. But picking Hated shoudn't prevent you from picking Royal Blood.

About costs... not sure. Weaknesses shouldn't just be a "Point Source". If they don't have true drawbacks, low point score would be fine (but merits should also have a low point cost if they don't really give "meat"). But if they have some real drawbacks, increase the point value! Maybe picking Ancestral Blood Feud for 5 points wasn't such a good idea at Sovereign creation now that you have to deal with constant attacks by an NPC faction and his unaligned allies, but Unfriendly Face for 1 point wasn't that bad deal as it only has a slight penalty to diplomacy.

End of Wintersong's quote

This has nothing to do with what the problem is.  The problem is that Regal and Distrusted are the opposites of each other and the fact that you can gain 3 points back for taking Distrusted then spend only ONE point to get regal which balanced both the negative and positive out.  Meaning you get 2 free points to spend because of it.  If they wanted to make it fair/non game breaking they need to make sure that the Strength and Weakness both are the same amount so that both Regal and Distrusted do not give you bonus points.
