[.298 BUG] Damsel in Distress can't complete still.

According to 1Z change log, this quest was fixed.

+ the way units were being stationed inside cities had been changed such that it was no
longer sending an event for each unit that entered a city, only for the leader of an army. If you attempted to complete the “Damsel in Distress” quest by moving an army with the damsel in it (but not as it’s leader), an event would not be dispatched,  and the quest would never complete. I’ve changed it so that an event gets dispatched for each unit entering a city, including all sub-units in an army, which will allow the quest to work as intended once again.

But it is still breaking for me.

I entered the city with a stack of Sov, +3 peasants, +1 damsel.

I then tried every combination of removing and replacing the damsel, damsel + sov, etc... no dice.

So, is the damsel supposed to disappear and the quest complete? I still have the knight from the knight quest and the damsel still running around.  I have entered the city with them both.

Is it possible to get more essense? Idon't seem to regen any even with the city improvement built for it?

And what about mana I don't regen that rither it seems?

I'll try another game with another Sov to see if it continues.

You can get more essence when your sovereign levels up by selecting points for it.  I don't know if there's another way to do it.

As of the issue with the Damsel quest, none of the escort X to city quests complete anymore... Even in new games. I have just been using the free units for fodder.

I have 2 units rescued, just sitting in my cities as per the quests. Nothing happens, and they each cost me 0.5 gold per turn.  :(

Those damsels must be high maintenance women!

I have yet to have a Quest not finish properly. Damsel, Knight or Rats...

Once returned to your FIRST starter Town, I have then been moving them to my other towns as they have fighting capabilities, although mostly weak, but when garrisoned in a Town, they can hold their own pretty well.

P.S. A possible BUG I have noticed, I think, is that the fancy Compass you get as a reward, does not ever show up in your Inventory, unlike the healing Plant, Books or Potions...

I would hate to get lost, and think I have a compass... LOL

I always return them to my starter town. And then try my others.

No worries. I forget sometimes that my directness gets mistaken for rudeness. I apologize for leaving that detail out. I assumed it was implied. My mistake. :)

No apology required. Details come in all levels. It was my bad.

I managed to complete the damsel in distress and marry her, but I can't complete the rescue the knight quest, the knight is still around in all my games, even after going to all my cities with various unit combinations.

I've managed to complete the quest by moving the Damsel/Knight alone (from the start) to my first city

I tried that several times but didn't work. So I took the Knight to conquer some cities and random skirmishes (he survived all of them, thanks to the whole army and Sovereign with him) while the Damsel stayed at home writing Magic Fiction.

I like to get all 3 quest slots filled with damsels or knights that can't be gotten rid of.  I then head for the nearest Troll.

Their deaths at his hands is very sad.  Oh yes, my sov lives to fight another day.

As of [0.30] this seems to have been fixed.  I was able to return the damsel to my city, and the compass showed up in my inventory, and after equipping it, my sight radius went up 1.

I was able to return the damsel in .298 to one of my cities (only Sov and Damsel in the stack), just try all your cities but mostly your starter one.  Wasn't able to get the knight to do the same in .298.  The rats quest just causes CTD though on my returning to the inn to turn it in.

[0.3] Quest worked OK for me if you return her to the right city, doesn't work for any city.  There also seems to be issues if there are other units in the same stack.  I got the reward along with the compass.

I have an unfinished "escort noble lady to her home" quest that I can't complete because the lady somehow disappeared before I reached the estate. <_<
