I'm a bit concerned about the automatic system where female children are automatically married off and cant be proper heroes.

This is just like the system in the paradox entertainment games where all heirs and generals are male. This is so unshakable that even in in mods such as the middle earth mods of total war kingdoms you cant have heroes like Eowyn or galadriel because only males can be heroes.

As a woman i find this arrangement less than satisfactory to say the least. Cant we please have a system where when a child is born, male or female, you can choose whether they are married off or become a full hero? After all MY sovereign will be female and I sure as hell wont have a law that says males will inherit thrones over women, maybe id ban male rulers entirely.

Either way I should have the option. I dont see why all heroes should be men especially in a world where magick is the source of power, not physical strength. Cant hurt me with a sword if I've just turned you into a slug or my mind controlled thrall after all. This may sound trivial to you, but it isnt to me. In a strategy game like this one I can live with it if I really have to, but in RPG's, i have never bought any of the 'male character' only RPG's like the Gothic line ones and never will.
