Video Tutorials ?

do you guys think that Video Tutorials might be usefull with the end game ?

I have feeling game may have alot of things going on custmi units, abilty to make your own factions all the diffrinet choices there will be that need to be made.

in supreme commander one they had Video Tutorials expaling little things here and there and things that were more advance that you might not have knowen about till you played game serveral times.

I kinda liked this model in game instead of having alot of detail of how to play in a book that be honest how many people may sit down to read it, how about small Video Tutorials explain things here and there ?

or maybe having them built into the game for example, when you click make new faction you get the faction screen custmization you do not but a little tab also that you can click on that explains the things you see on the screen ?

any one elese thing that might become usefull to new players who have no idea whats going on or even to people who know whats gong on but may want to learn or see what type of advance options there are in game that they may have missed out on ?

Agreed.  It (Short Video Tutorials) worked very nicely with Gal Civ 2.

The GalCiv 2 videos were indeed a nice feature.  In fact I found myself wishing they had provided similar tutorials for the new features introduced in the expansion packs.

would be nice since they normaly force you through a lame level to learn how to play most games wish they did it for sins.

Video Tuts are always a good thing. The only complaint I've ever had with them is usually they aren't Long Enough. For a game with as many options and as much depth as Elemental it would be cool if it came with like a 20 minute video showing you how to play a successful game from start to finish. Maybe include a "Pro-Tips" version too. Do it something like a ".avi" format to keep the file size low as ".avsq" (DvD format) eats up tons of space on a disk.

Video tutorials should be secondary to interactive ones. People (imo) seem to learn best when actually doing something. An in-game video tutorial could help remind players how somethings done, but isn't as good when actually teaching them.
