Need Help Registering A Used Copy Of Sins

So here is the deal , I had bought a used copy of Sins of a Solar Empire a few days ago and have tried to register , but it gives me this message:

"Sign Up Error - Invalid Serial Number

The serial number you have entered does not belong to the email address you have entered. To register this serial number you must use the same email address in which you used to purchase the game.

If you do not have the game yet please support our hard work by purchasing the game."

So , is there anyway to change or reset this? Or do i need to go buy a new retail copy of the game thats not pre-owned

Go get your money back, and buy the game not pre-owned. Once you register the game with a email its stuck with that email.

Selling pre-owned copies of Sins is essentially a scam, since once the serial key is registered it's useless to anyone else, and the person who registered it can keep playing it!  You basically have an extended demo on your hands.

most on-line games are now like this.

I recommend opening a hotmail account. I lost use of a game because I dropped my ISP and the email I used was no longer valid. So when I forgot the password I used, no email = no get password = no more play. Needless t say I WAS PISSED OFF.
