[.295 Suggestion] Housing Change

Housing option changed

I was wondering if it would be feasible to remove the whole housing part of city building. Instead of picking where to place huts and learning civic to build houses why not just have an action like roadbuilding. You click on growth and the city grows and expands as long as you have enough prestige and food resources. If you don't click on growth the city still grows at a much smaller pace. Leave the city planning to deciding where to put all the other types of buildings like barracks and librarys and schools etc..

Just a thought and might make it flow a little better and have less of a click fest and tedium.

And why not letting the cities decide where they want their house placed ? We could just build improvements and important buildings.

Can work, if buildings do not need to be placed adjacent to others.

Currently housings are the way to get to resources.

Yeah houses are currently used to snake out to get resources but I think they plan to have it as long as it is in your cities influence boundries than you can harvest them.

I like the system as it is. Needs tweaks, ok, but I like to decide were to build things. And hoping for some day, having battles by city sections and the need to conquer the palace (or city centre) instead of "attack city anywhere and if you win, city is yours".

when they make a way so we can get resources with out having to build houses towards them that would be great kinda annoyed when my city grows to fast and i can't build houses fast enough.

It is true for lumber mill. but since 0.295, you don't need to snake for farming, mining ot harvesting shard.
