[.295] Random Crashes

Game randomly shuts down during play

from Elemental Forums

Game just quits to windows every 10-15 mins. Could be fighting but usually just exploring.

 

I am running Windows 64 bit with all the up to date drivers installed.

CPU Specs:

I7 920 D0 Stepping at 2.66 gHz

6 gig of OCZ Gold Ram

Radeon HD4890 MSI Cyclone with latest drivers.

Same thing here .291 seemed to be much more stable than 295. Will play around post proper bug reports after work.

Can you guys post your debug.err files here?  We've added some key bits of output to help narrow down where/why these crashes could be occuring.

Ok, one more to add to the list. Same thing happens to me, random crashes to desktop without any error message, somewhere between 5 and 45 min into the game. This is the latest.

Ok, addition - after posting the debug.err I noticed that the version number of my graphics driver (Nvidia) included did not match the one it was supposed to be. Complete cleanup of the driver, installed the new one. Sadly, the game currently lets me win quite early - will post again if problem appears again.
