[.295] fuzzy pictures

On my machine the pictures of the sovereign and other pictures (basically each character portrait) are painfully fuzzy.  I don't think that my vidio card is that under powered. (ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT)  Maybe I have one of the graphics settings set wrong?

Turn off advanced lighting. I have this issue too but I have an nVidia card.

On earlier betas, some folks had some success with turning off anti-aliasing.  If turning off advanced lighting doesn't help, you might try turning off anti-aliasing.

Had been meaning to create a topic about this myself.  I get images like that frequently.  Hope that's the same blurriness you mean.  I'll try the ideas for fixing.

Can We get some 'debug.err' files from you guys to get detailed system specs (the data we need is from the DXDiag, towards the top of the file)?

Thanks!

I'm getting this, too. Sometimes it works fine, but it'll suddenly blur from time to time.

Turning off advanced lighting did fix the problem for me.|-)

If you turn Advanced Lighting back on, and delete your prefs.ini file (found in my documents/my games/Elemental) do you still have the problem?

I deleted my prefs file, restarted the game and AL was on. Everything did look fine, but I changed my resolution. Restarted and both the unit design page and design unit page were black and blurry. I turned off AL in game and both unit design page and design unit pages had a white haze or white markings.

Restarted the game, both pages had blocky colors. I turned on AL and Unit design page was ok, but the design unit page was black and blurry. Turned off ALL and map turned to black with markings all over. Unit design was ok but design unit was b/b. I started a new game, then canceled and turn on AL.

Restarted the game and the map was ok, but the both those pages were bb. I started a new game, then canceled and turn off AL.

Restated the game, both pages had white haze/markings. Turned off AL in game, unit design page was bb and design unit page was ok.

I can't make sense of it, and now I can't find a setting where I don't have with black blurry units, or units with white haze and marking :\..unless I delete the prefs file, but then my resolution is not right.
