[Suggestion] Crash reports - why not let Impulse handle it ?

Stardock owns Elemental.

Stardock owns Impulse.

Why not let one help the other ?

Currently, if we beta testers want to help with the beta development of Elemental regarding crashes - we have to upload the debug files to some random file sharing place (like dropbox). When we all used fogbugz, that wasn't a big deal, because we had one location we could all use with a simple click.  With dropbox - we each have to set up an account, understand how to use it and share it, and make sure we keep under the 2 GB file size.

Why not, instead - enhance Impulse to allow us to upload debug files directly to some Startdock server ?

I think this could be made easy for the users to use - and have enough protection against spam type problems (refuse more than x outstanding uploads - allow user to delete old/stale data or what-not).

I think this is a great idea, but unfortunately is dependent on how much resource Stardock can devote to it, so I don't expect to see it in the near future.  In an ideal world, Stardock would have enough expert developers to respond to each of our bug reports the next day, and to upgrade their forum handling hardware to handle this forum responsively

Seriously, as an employee of a software company that is often lucky to fix customer problems in 3 to 6 months, I think Stardock is doing a great job, but I do wish they had the wherewithall to increase their hardware and personnel resources to implement your good idea as soon as possible.
