Photos That I Love

One of the things I love most in life is photos.  I love the way that photos capture a moment.  Natural, unposed, moments are my favorite, but even the modeled moments bring back happy memories and capture the beauty of the moment.  I have many albums full of pictures that I and others have taken.

Among the many photos I have, there is only one that I really truly love more than any other photo.  It's of my husband when he was a little boy.  In the picture he is wearing Ariat western boots, one of those Resistol hats, and one of these.  He's at a birthday party for his brother and he's got his hands at his sides like he's ready to do a quickdraw lol.  It's in black and white film too, which I love.  

I really don't understand people who don't like pictures.  I have a friend who hates looking at them and hates being in them.  He thinks that they are a misrepresentation of reality.  I don't think that's true at all though.  I can understand what he means if you are talking about airbrushed photos, but the pictures that are truly loved usually aren't.  I can't wait to get a nice camera like this one so that I can take more photos that I'll love.  Gotta go.  Peace.
