[0.291][1G][CRASH] freez after reaching 1st level up

The game freezes (audio is on; still uses 13 to 15 % of processing resources) shortly after my first level up. I could not switch back to the windows desktop and had to invoke ALT-CTRL-Delete to kill the process.

I wonder if all those missing XML files may be a problem. I'll try a clean install of 0.291.
