[BUG?] Custom sov : chosen perks don't have an effect in-game

I have chosen for my custom sov a perk that allow her to get 4 more spell points per turn. But each turn I only get the points from my cities.

Same with the perk that gives more research points.

I can confirm this bug.   Choosing those perks doesn't seem to have an effect at least in the first 30 turns of a game (which is all I've played at the moment).

Yes and the "hardy" trait didnt give me any bonus hitpoints i think. neither did constituiton. i still got the basic 40.

Also i got spells from the test spellbook and fire spellbook but i only selected fire and ice. (this may be intentional because there are so few spells so we can test them)

I could have just read the new UI wrong, but every spell I clicked on said it was from the Test spellbook even though I also chose the Fire one and some of the icons appeared fire-related.

Same problem.  More precisely, the Talents are "Brilliant", "Meditative" and "Scholarly".

Tested with 0.291 Beta Version.

Looking through the game files, I'm pretty sure none of the sovereign perks work atm since they don't have any ability hooked up yet.

Anything that affects a Stat or Ability SHOULD be working, some ofthe more specific ones (city stationing bonuses, per-turn global resource bonuses from sovereigns, etc) or boosts on things not yet implemented (army morale) are not.  I'm about to go through the data and round up the lacking bonuses and penalties.

Besides crash fixes ad memory cleanup, getting these working is on our list for next week.

Hmm... if that's the case, I don't understand how those work then technically. Is it different from the ability bonus for civs then?

Is Essence supposed to Regen, even if real slowly?

Oops. This may be my answer...

The 7 pt. "Arcane Lore" faction strength option that allows use of the Arcane Lore spellbook appears to not be enabled.  I saw no Arcane Lore spell options under spell research.

Perhaps there is a pre-requisite I didn't have but I can't test this as I can't keep a game going for more than an hour or so before it crashes (and save games don't work -- instead CTD -- past a certain point in the game, typically around when a second city is founded).
