They can Die.

They are biologically immortal, meaning that they can never die from disease or Aging (time, virus's, bacteria, faulty genetics)

However, they can still be killed in Murder or Combat.

They can die of old age. They just live so looooooong that for the time scope of the game, it's like if they didn't. That was the last that Frogboy said about the topic.

Oh, I see. Well then, they are Biologically Long lived, and immune to every type of non-trauma related biological death other than aging.

Murder, killing, and playing chess can kill them. But only if you try for a really, really, really long time.

Honestly, I kind of half-expected as much. Still, I felt it was easier to get the Biological Immortality concept introduced first, and then perhaps, if I wanted to, add the caveat that they might still be able to eventually die of old age.

If we were going to have any games that break the Millenia, I think we should have a small chance for New Channelers to be born. Lets say that each 50 turns we have a chance for a Channeler birth. Thats 1% for each 50,000 people in the world -0.5%.

Now then ... in the case of WHO gets the Channeler child in the event of one being Born. each Shard owned adds 1%. Having talked with a dragon adds 1%. Owning a Dragon adds 2%. Having any interactions with any living Titan or any Titan's Memory (one time gain) adds 3%. Slaying such a creature adds 3%.

If the global totals add up to less than 100, the remainder is the percentage that the Channeler is born as an NPC, roaming the wilds OR even the city streets. If the global total adds up to MORE than 100, then the probability functionality becomes a pure proportion.

Alternatively, even if the Channler IS born amongst your nation, there is only a 20% chance that he/she is born into your Royal family. Otherwise they are guaranteed to be born n raised amonst your streets and have a High inclination to like your nation/feel patriotic. Although still an NPC to negotiate with, perhaps eventually win over.

I would tend to disagree with that last bit. Seems to me that when they saw you using your power to lord over the common folk, then realized that they had the same power but were still being lorded over, they'd like you less, not more.

This makes me wonder, will there be something along the lines of a "Spell of Return" as in MoM?

Apparently they can't be murdered (=assassinated) outside combat.

Well, thus far it seems that the only way to physically kill a sovereign is to either kill him in his opposite element, or to destroy his last city and THEN kill him.

No.

You die, you're dead.
