[Graphics] Beta 1G - Soverign graphics?

Guess this qualifies as "Looks messed up" ?

Or is it to early to be adding any bug reports about the graphics?

I just started it, didn't enter a game, just the creat new screen.

And just for disclosure, my drivers are not "Offical" - since my laptop drivers don't get updated that often.

But they do work fine for Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3, Dragon Age, Oblivion, GalCiv 2, Sins of a Solar Empire, Demigod, etc. :)

I have relatively recent Nvidia drivers, and I get the same problem. Try turning off Advanced Lighting and see if that fixes it.

I had the same problem, mostly fixed by disabling advanced lighting... for some reason the sovereign icons don't show, still white, but they at least show up on the sov design screens. Units also work now though and unit design is nice and pretty. -rather than being eye bleedingly bright and pure white (with blue shadows... or blue with white highlights? or spotlight I should say)

Also Nvidia (hiss... and GeForceGo 6100), also laptop... also not official drivers. (probably invalidates things but it was the only way to get galciv2 and etherlords 2 to work... oddly everything else was fine with the older, laptop-specific drivers... oblivion/sins/demigod...)

On a happy note, now it's working and pretty this build seems far better. Towns still grow and shrink randomly... not sure if that's a mentioned bug... and things still have poor collision detection... and you can see towns from 10+tiles away... or at least a pale spot on the fog of war (intended feature?)... but I actually played a game to victory! second attempt, first had a CTD due to...i think... the internet cutting out and was before I read this post and so I couldn't bear to design units from the glare.

Yeah, disabling the advanced lighting fixed it.

Not as purdy, but works :)

Thanks for reporting this.  It's definitely not to early to report any graphics compatibilty problems.  We want to hear from you.
If you're still experiencing this after updating your drivers, as others suggested, please try disabling advanced lighting.

If your icons are still showing up white, please try clearing out your  My Documents/My Games/Elemental folder (except the prefs.ini file)   That should force the game to regenerate the icons using the non-advanced lighting setting.

I've had this exact same problem for while now (Beta 1D) on the unit creation screen.  Also using nVidia card.  All other games look fine.

Had this when I upgraded the video driver to my Geforce card. Turning off the lighting and also deleting all the files as noted by Codecritter fixed the issue.

Thanks!
