Well I am heading to bed 12:20 in the am as of writing this. Hope I get an invite. One of the reasons I pre-ordered way before Christmas was to get in the Beta. Luckily it should open again in March. Don't like waiting though 

I'm thinking that we (you, I and others who pre-ordered post Beta1) will be invited next Thursday, 5th of March...

But how am I going to have time for Elemental and Bad company 2?

Great. I preordered this today because Bluesnews stated that those who preordered it would have access to the Beta. uggghhhhh.

patience. I pre-ordered a little while back and even though I did not get the Beta to DL yet it just gives me a little extra time for Kitten Sancuary (Damn you Stardock and that addicting game) and finish Heavy Rain.

I refuse to play Heavy Rain, some people would say it's because I don't own a PS3, well those people are correct.

I preordered a week ago. So where is my beta key. I check impulse every days and still no beta for me.

Yikes, I didn't realize media outlets were steering people towards buying to play 1G? That's a nice double edged sword (more preorders = rad, angry that it's a week off = lame).

So, here's the deal for anyone that preordered reciently...the current beta of 1G, while it has the new features, also has some new BUGS.  We're going to spend the next week polishing and fixing whats there, at which point (from my understanding) we'll be releasing a 1G update (solving all the issues we can fix in a week's time).

That 1G Update, scheduled for next Thursday, is where we'll let the newest batch of early-adopters join in the testing.

Please remember, though, that this isn't like the Starcraft 2 beta, or any other beta you've probably played. This is more like an alpha build from those teams. We're LITERALLY implementing the core systems, where the game looks 25% complete opposed to the 95% complete beta of Starcraft2 people are enjoying.

This is also a blessing and a curse...you may have to sift through a unpolished experience, but it give you, the player, a chance to really impact the final game (not just do MP server testing).

Anyways, can't wait to have a new group of testers in the mix! We'll keep eveyone posted.

Thanks for your comments BoogieBac. I preordered because I trust you will deliver high entertainment software with high quality as you have done with your previous games. For me it's almost a safe card to preorder your games. To be able to help you out would be great and I know the game is far from finished.

Thanks BoogieBac. Stardock is one of the few companies I have been faithful to because of the high quality of the games. I don't think you can fathom the amount of time I have put into for playing Galactic Civilizations, the second one and  SoaSE (and the addons) and with a wife, three kids, a part time teaching job, a Master's student and a full time system admin. I always make time for Stardock games

Regardless, I understand it is unfinished and I have always been constructive in feedback for past Alphas/Betas I have been invited to.

Thanks for the good response Boogie, and I agree with all the other points in the thread.

Stardock is one of the last companies out there (IMO) that makes quality games and doesn't try to monopolize the market/consumers off their success.

Maybe after you guys design a few more games. . .

As it stands, I can wait for Thursday if it means bug fixes. I just can't wait well.

Got to love a company that takes this good care of it's customers

I preorderd in November last year. Been waiting patiently for awhile now. I'm pretty excited that next Thursday I can get in on the action, regardless of how "unfun" it is. This game is going to be amazing and I'm glad I can be a small part of it.
