I found this awesome Dominions 3 After Action Report. Its good reading and the author assumes little knowledge of the game so describes some of the mechanics.

 

It shows some of the cool fantasy strategy of Dominions 3 and should serve to whet the appetite of anyone interested in Elemental.

Enjoy as the underwater kingdom of mind enslaving fish looking things spread the faith of the immobile giant polyp queen. Oh the amazons are there too, but they're not as interesting as the mind enslaving fish who worship a giant polyp. \o/

hehe...poor little things, we used to have them nest on the property but the poor buggers lay their eggs on the ground. Hard to believe they've endured here with all the foxes we have.

They live on the busiest roundabouts, raising chicks in traffic mayhem. I'm not surprised foxes don't stop them.

 

Also if you threaten the chicks the parents will try to lure you away by leading you away from the chicks while the chicks go to ground. If you ignore the parents and go for the chicks the parents aggressivly swoop at you. They have spurs on their wings, adding to damage should they crash into you, which admittedly rare but I have seen somebody get swooped, they dropped onto their belly commando style and the bird misses him by an inch.... Crazy birds.
