Starbases are black?

Long time player, first time forum user and first time I've ever had a problem. I recently installed Vista, don't know whether it would be the problem or not, but all the star bases in the game are now black, they look like they don't have any textures. Reinstalling doesn't help. Is it a graphics card incompatibility?

more likely a driver problem, download the latest and try that (Vista can be problematic about that)

I have the exact same problem, I'm using vista as well.

As of now I do not have any idea how to fix it.
