What it is all about

Hi girls and boys and devs ;)
I joined the Stardock community in 2007 because of one of the awesomest games ever:
SINS of a SOLAR EMPIRE
Back then I only imagined about it and preordered it to get into the Beta.
It was not as I imagined and I was a bit disapointed at the beginning. BUT ...
I got more and more into it and now I can say that it was one of my best decisions to buy this game.

Around the time of the release of SoaSE Stardock announced a little game in the forum and I think on the site too which was called ... dunno but I think it was ELEMENTAL ;) (Was it this game? ...)
It looked a little bit hmmmmm funny but there was not enough stuff to make a decission and I forgot it.

Now in 2010 I finally found some time(and money :p ) to look around what games could get my attention this year.
And guess what .... one of the first sites I visited was the SoeSE(because of the microupdates) and Stardock site.

And now here I am but I can't still imagine what is this game all about???
What do you do, what can you do and can I get my own dragon?
And even it is a bad place to ask this kind of question, it is worth buying this game??

Please help me . . . . .
Thanks and cya

Well it is going to be a civilization builder, with magic. If you have played Master of Magic or Age of Wonders then that is probably a good place to start. I also hope it is going to have a little bit of Warlords flavor, and although I have not played Dominions 3 enough to judge, I hear a lot of people here talk about it as well.

I see the main objectives being pretty much the same as most turn based strategies - Explore, Expand, and Exterminate. you'll be researching both magic and mundane technologies, building up cities and armies, exploiting resources, performing diplomatic and trade activites, abd marrying off your descendants.

The focus will be on the single player experience, but up to 32-player multiplayer will also be available. Games will vary from months-long sandbox games to 20-30 minute tactical battle challenges. You also design your own military units, taking one of your citizens and equipping him and training him as you see fit.

You may be able to ally with a dragon, but my perception is that a dragon will likely not be "ownable" and any attempt to coerce a dragon will likely end with you as an entree, or at least an appetizer.

Hope that was helpful!

ou will build your empire. You will have access to Magic powers. Those magic powers will be so big in the end that some spell can change the face of the world.

You will have adventurers walking around on your lands causing trouble.

You will be able to hire Heroes,

The main purpose is to be the most powerful chaneller there is.

Check out Master of magic and add mordern thechs and ideas to it.

Just for clarification, modern techs means modern under-the-hood technology, not a modern-day based ingame tech tree.
