I am a 4X strategy complete noob. I am wondering if Gal Civ 2 Dread Lords or MOO2 is a better/easier game to learn the basics. As of right now, I have no clue whatsoever on how to play. Thanks.
GC2 is a newer game and with the expansion it becomes more complicated than MoO2, but lots of folks fell in love with GC2 because they loved MoO2 and MoO3 was a big disappointment.

I would say that MOO2 is easier to understand the dynamics of, but either game is great once you reach a certain level of understanding.
