Will not load saved game

If you load it, it will crash

Just a quick note.

i've noticed on Beta 1D that on my machine I have not been able to load a saved game.  It has never worked on this build a single time.

i do like the additions to the game, been fooling around with the diplomacy thing a bit, looks like a nice start.

 

i also like how the Tech tree is working...I'd like to see more of it before i suggest any additions or changes to that.

I work as a job planner in a machine shop so metal and related technology naturally interests me.

Are there extraneous save games with a ~ next to their names?

Look up the saved game locations (don't know it off hand sorry) and see if your saved game names start with ~

Delete them. Seems you can't reuse a name for a save game file.

Get a fresh save each time with a new name seems to work for me that way.

I just go Save1, Save2 etc etc

 

PS saves i think are here in XP

C:\Documents and Settings\USER\My Documents\My Games\Elemental\Saves

I can't load saved games either, no idea why. I checked where they are saved too and my game is called "Save 1". The whole name is save 1.EleSav . Every time I try to load a game it starts to load the map, I see the symbol and the name of the map, then it hits a black screen of death and CTD's.

I tried un-installing the previous version, deleted all left over files and downloaded and re-installed. Still no dice, saved games won't load.
