Minidump on startup

Recently ive come accross a mod known as 7 deadly sins, the readme says that it only works with v1.05 so Ive downloaded the patch which ive installed on a clean version of sins. but after I installed it, I get a minidump every time I start up the game. it works fine with patch 1.81 downloaded on impulse, but the I would really like to be able to use this mod so any  help would be great

Did you initially install off the retail disc or were you using a clean install off Impulse? The latter will be completely broken if you attempt to install an older patch over it.

I used the disk, also, Ive tried other things and ive found that it sometimes says "could not detect wether file user.setting is binary or text " ive checked the file, it has TXT written plainly on top, also if I use the repair function on the uninstaller, the minidumps disapeer, but the game still crashes on startup
