Installed and everything fine until went to play game, the message popped up stating:

So any help would be greatly appreciated.
Usually launcher failures are caused by certain antivirus apps which block any kind of scripting. The smplest thing to do is to just skip the launcher and make a shortcut to the game itself at the location you installed it (GalCiv2.exe, GC2DarkAvatar.exe, GC2TwilightoftheArnor.exe, etc).
