Mine has been doing this too, but it seems to do so after a short period of time no matter what I do. Don't know how to replicate something that's happened every time within a few turns.

Yep I'm having the same problem - not always first turn but usually.

The game is completely unplayable to me at the moment which is a shame because there's a lot of new stuff I haven't been able to playtest yet. I will try to post some debug data when I can :(

Same here. Posted it to the appropriate site. A shame really because as Kuloth mentioned, there are supposedly cool new things added to the game. It was very much a smooth game before, now it is choppy after the first few seconds until my machine freezes.

Same problem here as well. The game breaks down in the first turn, usually after building the city.....

I was having similar problems. I haven't been able to test since 1a. I had problems in 1a too but I could still manage to play for awhile normally. I cannot remember if I was having the first turn issue in 1b but I've had the issue for awhile now. I've formatted my hard drive and will try again fresh. If it works I'll update my post here.

Well the wipe of my hardrive didn't solve my problems it just replaced them with different ones HOWEVER after I turned anti aliasing off I can play again. Not without slip ups along the way but it's stable enough to get an hour or two in.

I'm having the same issue. Unchecking "Disable Depth of Field" in the video options prevents the crashes for me, but viewing the research screen still slows the game to a crawl. (until I restart)
