Same problem here. I had a saved game already, but I started a new game. I overwrited the old save. When I tried to load the game -> instant crash to the desktop.

Debug.err -> http://pastebin.com/m569d514f

A new debug.err from a save game crash with a rather interesting error. :)

Debug Message:  Failed to create new road between Irisust and Irisust

I get a C++ runtime error upon trying to load a game.

Anyone seen any hints of an interim patch just to get the saves loading 'properly?'

I get the same report when loading a saved game myself.

I just did a quick try at save-reload under 0.264 (beta 1d) and it seems to work!

I dunno that what is solved, but I couldn't load my saved game in the current build. [0.264] The game keeps crashing. I deleted that save, but I will test it again later today. If I can reproduce the bug, I will report it.

I keep getting the same crash in .264 with a recent save.

I was able to load an early game save from the same game as the one that crashed. So it apparently works sometimes.

I haven't been able to load a game.

One save loads but then I can't end the turn and proceed with it. A later save from that game CTDs everytime I try to load it.

As you guys encounter this, can you be keeping a mental log of what 'big actions' you've done (Signed treaties, killed off a player, etc)?

Also (and I beleive there should be a popup that reminds you of this) but until the game is about 90% gameplay feature complete, you probbaly won't be able to load games from previous versions :(  sorry.

I wasn't trying to load a save from a previous version. Its a save from the current version.

I've tried half a dozen saved games now that I created with .264. Only one has worked.
