[Suggestions] Caravans

Could we have an "always retreat" setting for caravans -  I played the longest game i've managed so far last night and had 10+ caravans constantly being attacked by monssters and it got a bit boring to click the -  run away - button every time.

also

would it be possible to assign a guard unit or units to a caravan?  Caravan duty would be a good way to get a guard some experience and it would also mean you could protect your good and not have to always run away from bad guys.
