Expansion Pack Idea - Myth Wars

I was thinking to some original custom maps, that change everything from buildings to units in order to fit a certain theme. Several of these can make the object of an expansion pack....

 

Here's the first I was thinking of:

 

EGYPTIAN WARS

 

Light: Horus forces (eagle headed god)

vs.

Dark: Anubis forces (dog headed god)

 

Setup

 

The map is located in the desert - a clear area (maybe oasis?) surounded by huge sand dunes in the distance. Should have a very authentic Egypt feeling

 

Buildings

 

All towers are replaced with Obelisks

Citadels are replaced with Pyramids

 

Units

 

Horus Wariors, Archers and Priests (Eagle Headed guys)

Catapults = Griffin (lion body, eagle wings)

Giants = Sphinxes (huge human body, lion head)

 

Anubis Warriors, Archers and Priests (Dog headed guys)

Cata = Fire Scorpion

Giants = Scorpion King (mummy anyone?)

 

That's it for now, I'll improve this over time, add more examples and setups, but let me know what u think

They can't even get 2 new Demigods out the door, what makes you think there will EVER be an expansion pack for this game? :P

I think it is a brilliant idea. It would be just what demigod needs and it would bring a LOT of people to the community. I can picture it in my head as you describe it and i have to say that I LOVE your idea of this expansion.

BUT

There is not even the slightest chance that Stardock would release an expansion pack ever. They are struggling to release the 2 new demigods because they can barely afford it. What makes you think they would spend money to an expansion pack that they dont know if it would sell or not?

Lets keep it real.

I don't know though why it costs them so much....for 5000$ (which is pocket change for them) I would do the new demigod from scratch up to rigging and animating it (yes I'm a 3D artist..)
