Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

I've never ingested a drop of alcohol in my life. My nick comes from my BF2142 account name.

Also, HOW IS your name pronounced tesb? Whenever I say it in my head I think "tez-buh" (phonetically speaking that is).

Reply #3452 Top

I always pronounced it "tes-buh"

or just "tes" as it rolls off my tongue faster.....

I pronounce everything I read in my head.....

It's the same as when I read a book, I always imagine how the characters names are pronounced and how they talk.

Reply #3457 Top

Books are always better than movies.

Reply #3458 Top

@skidiantasa- why do you say that?

On a side note, you mentioned Siberia. Are you perhaps Russian?

@tesb- yeah, I'm like Ghost. I pronounce/say everything I read/write as I read/write it in my head.

@IROKONESS- 1st- what's with the all caps name? 2nd- not always. Sometimes (sadly) the movie is better than the book.

That speaks of truely terrible authors, which should be a crime against humanity (not really but it's not cool to read crappy writing).

@whiskey my family comes from a siberian tribe and i visit them once a yer so i am in a way russian but i am a siderian tribal

Reply #3460 Top

Oh, okay. That's kinda neat.

EDIT: is that how you get your nick? (nickname, forum name; it's a slang term (<-included in case of no prior knowledge of term; not trying to be offending))

Wow. Long parentheses.

@Whiskey...... Well the caps looked good at the time.  :typo:   And I don't want to change a third time.:omg:

Ah the movies. Gotta differ on that one with you. I am an uber fan of sci/fi and horror. Mayby that's why.

What do yu read?

Reply #3463 Top

Military Sci-fi is my preferred, David Weber, John Ringo, David Drake and the like

though I do mix in Issac Asimov, Ben Bova and others

You know what? tch....    Don't know these particular guys.:star:

Ann Rice, Stephen King, can't remember her name but it was always children...in the attic. <3 GGGrrreat stuff.

But remember the old detective comics?  B) I loved those...

Reply #3465 Top

Can't stand Ann Rice. Not big on Stephen King, but his prose if good.

If you like military sci-fi, try Alan Dean Foster's Books of the Damned. Not exactly Heinlein, but it's a good blend of military and classic idea sci-fi.

tesb... hmm... The Easiest Son of a Bitch... it's a maybe.

Reply #3466 Top

nope

the only sifi books i really really liked is the dune series from frank herbert (his son butchered the series #:( )

but it is not really sifi more like a metaphor for current events

also to not vindicate the preconception that i never smile, take this: :star: :inlove: :smitten: :* :blush:

@ whiskey my name comes from the godess of winter skidi and antasa is my last name

@tesb no towel here

Reply #3471 Top

@tesb- the Dune series rocked; Brian Herbert didn't butcher the series though, even though some isn't as good as the originals. Also tesb, NO TOWEL FOR YOU!!! At least not until pictoral proof of the forum pigeons depositing fecal matter on your person is posted.

@IROKONESS- I read a mixed bag of various SF, like Frank Herbert, Orson Scott Card, Graham McNeill, and a few others, as well as Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series.

@skid- I see. Neat.

Reply #3472 Top

Tom Clancy

Dan Abnett, ya....that's prolly enough bout me, next.
