Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

Kwing is a floating bomb barge. Give me maneuverability and four guns. And yes I know the Ewing is more maneuverable but it has only three guns.

Anyone notice an alphabetic theme?

Anyway, I like the fighters from the Homeworld universe. Partially because they have a sweet variety and partially because the combat AI is so good I got to watch a 20 minute dogfight between two fighters that just rocked.

Starfuries have the benefit of being really well thought out when it comes to physics. Can't argue that one.

Vipers are cool and all, but their weapons wouldn't take out Chiggy von Richtofen and they have dick in the way of defense. I'll take a Hammerhead for the missile payload, tracking weaponry, and tail gun.

I would say that an X-wing is nice, but the original movies didn't make the shields appear all that great, assuming they have any. And no, I don't play the games or any such thing, so bear with me. Oddly, the much bulkier Millennium Falcon seemed to keep up with them just fine.

Now you want something I have experience with an can kick ass? The Rapier from Wing Commander. The longest standing model in the Confederate forces. I can do damage with that or a Morningstar.

I have other preferences in other games, but I'll save it.

Starfuries are awesome in that respect. Wing Commander 3 and 4 brought in a mechanic for certain fighters in which you could do that effect. And yes Rapiers FTW.

I never liked TIE  Interceptors. They don't look right to me. TIE Defenders are my favorite type of Imperial fighter that I've seen so far. Star Wars is the only thing I have a lot of knowledge with in terms of ships. I haven't played Homeworld or any Wing Commander games, and I haven't watched Babylon 5. So my argument would be invalid if I tried to dispute any of those claims of yours. I think this is my longest post ever. WOO.  \o/

The TIE Defender is the best in the Star Wars lore overall. I love of the Xwing is also connected with the hero of Star Wars. Luke Skywalker.

I do recommend Homeworld and the Wing Commander series (you can get the Wing Commander series at GOG.com ). Babylon 5 was awesome. But you must watch it from the first show on. Netflix will help. They have it online.
