Help! I'm not in the beta?

Hello, I have nowhere else to turn so I thought I'd try my luck here. After reading numerous articles on Elemental, I preordered the game early this month because I wanted to be a part of the beta process.

So the $50 charge goes through into my account about 2 weeks ago, but I still haven't gotten any word about how to play the beta via email, or impulse. I sent a message to them via their online system that guarantees a response within 48 hours, about 4 days ago, and I never got a response. I contacted [email protected] (twice) several days ago, and I never got a response.

Okay so something is up, so I thought I'd try their automated system where they email you your cd-keys and registration info, but that hasn't given me a response either (even though it says my email was found in the database). I get weekly updates from [email protected] just fine, so what could the problem be?

Thanks guys, any help at all would be appreciated - I'm really stumped and anxious here.

Have you got the 'show pre-release versions' button enabled (in the menu next to explore in Impulse)?  SD don't work weekends, hence the delay in response.

Make sure impulse is set to show you pre-release "beta" software.  It's an option in the little icon in the top left.  Once you turn that option on, go to the Games tab and see if Elemental is listed.  If it isn't then your right, you'll need a game key to manually link it to your account.  The game key should have been in the emailed receipt when the game purchase was processed.  My guess is that your impulse software is hiding the "beta" from you.  I know mine was.

Oh my god you two are the greatest! What I had checked was "Show prerelease alpha/beta updates", I had no idea that button was even a menu!

Thanks you two, now I just have to find out why the EULA screen is taking so long to load!

Probably updating the data files after downloading from the Stardock servers.

They put that button in to stop people downloading the beta thinking it was the full game and then trolling the forums saying the game is rubbish and demanding their money back.

I would have thought you would have got an email though.  It might have been accidentally junked or sent to the wrong address like mine was.
