[Bug]Game doesn't start!

As title, really. Double click the game in Impulse, and the 'play count' figure goes up, but that's all that happens.

Running Vista Ultimate x64

E6600 overclocked to 3.4Ghz

4Gb pc6400 ram

ATI X4850 1Gb, with latest drivers

Asus P5B motherboard

X-fi Xtreme Gamer soundcard

Everything's up to date, just pre-ordered elemental, and double clicking the game does nothing. I'd tried disabling my firewall, but that doesn't help. Directly running the .exe gives an error: 'The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.

Also, no debug.err file is generated. I don't even have a folder in documents/My Games for elemental. All the other SD games are there, so I know its the right place to look.

Which describes the same problem. I've tried installing the C++ Redists from the install folder, as well as downloading them from the microsoft website in the x64 versions, but the game still does not start. I'll try rebooting, see if that helps.
