are we talking about the opening video or the main menu?  (or the screen before the video that says This is a beta?)

having hit "print screens" on all of the opening screens, I can say with certainty I don't have this problem.   The 1st screen you see (might as well be a splash screen) just renders a blank black screenshot, the movie seems to work just fine (and screenshots just fine, I should actually have a wall paper related to this soon)  and the main menu has no problems.

are you able to hit print screen on other screens?  perhaps its an issue relating to the file creation.
