Was this using the max number of players? I've tried starting three games like that, and each time this happened. I'm guessing it can't find an applicable spot to place you, so it doesn't.

Looks like my screen here.

For me, I just tried quitting the game and starting again a few times. Eventually it worked.

For me it happend when i changed video graphic setting and start new game, without restarting process. After restarting, it was working fine here on Windows 7

Yeah, changing any video settings often caused the problem for me too.
