[bug]Sovereign starts next to critter (troll leader)

So i start a new game, and end up in this uncomfortable position:

I found out that there's another troll one diagonal square above (behind) the troll leader). So i attacked the troll (for kicks, wanted to see who would win), got killed, game over, sent back to the main menu and exited the game.
