[Suggestion] Idea for improving building selection menu(with picture)

This my idea for how the current building selection menu could be improved(Frogboy was right, Jing is awesome and easy to use).

I like the idea of improving the building selection menu but I would explore other options first before making it into a 2-row widget - no need to expand the inteface's footprint unless necessary.

For one, I think it might be a good idea to add some filters, like "military buildings", "production buildings", "population buildings", etc. They could go as tabs.

Also, I would like there to be an option to either use smaller building icons or maybe even just text list.

A combination of the two would be nice.  Small icon + text summary.  Waiting for a tooltip on each hover is time consuming, and on a turn based game, you want to eliminate these types of time sinks.  The height of the selection screen could be 1.5x the current height with a scroll bar at right.

Filters would be a nice option as well.

Suggestion: a parameter in options, or in the build screen, that switches between "large icons," "small icons," and "list view."

I'd prefer icons by function (population, army,... whatever) and that when you click one of them it opens a popup to the left with the different options for such function (with options to filter content) while the background slides to the right part so you can still see the city map while you take a look to your building options.

Similar idea for the construction and recruitment parts as they work similar to this part of the UI.

Out of topic but we need a cancel and/or destroy buulding in this screen. Currently we cannot destroy built buildings and to cancel one you have to get out of this and get to the building queue.
