[BUG/Graphics] Glitch on higher resolutions - Weird shapes/patterns 'imprinted'

When I set the resolution to higher than 1024x768, I get weird black symbols 'imprinted' on the screen after world creation and after the map is moved once (zoom, scroll).  It then remains this way until the game is restarted.

On game load:                        After zooming the camera:         Moved the camera over:

Notice that the location of the imprinted pattern does not change as the map moves around.

At higher resolutions, I got more interesting patterns. The last two show the non moving pattern very well.

At 1024x768, I did notice a similiar issue.  It wasn't an imprinted pattern, but an outline appeared around the edge of the map after the camera moved. (I think it was the ocean).

On load:                                  After moving camera:

Same issue.  Except I get a very definite imprint at 1024.

Does a lower resolution fix it for you too?

I'll also add that the patterns are still visible when the Kingdom Info screen is pulled up, though it is a bit dimmed. The patterns also don't change at the angle of viewing.  Finally, going to the main menu make the patterns disappear, though they reappear when you go back to the current game.

Sorry, but I'm currently at the lowest resolution allowed by the game due to what I think is a lack of video memory that prevents assets from drawing at higher resolutions.

Hmm,

Well yours looks a bit different than mine.  For mine the imprints don't appear on the map or follow the contours. It isn't part of the 3D engine.  They are projected straight onto the screen, like a menu or something.

Yeah, your high-res images definately have an etch-a-sketch feel to them.  Your 1024x768 images though are more in line with what I'm experiencing, as it seems to be adheared to some aspect of the map instead of simply thrown at the screen with sticky glue.

This does not occur on one of my other machines.  Having played the game now and I believe it is working as intended, it looks some of these lines are supposed to outline the land, to differentiate between land and water.  That is not occuring in my previous posts, or I imagine with Scott's.  Here's a debug.err from a computer that displays things properly and doesn't suffer from this.

DX9 vs DX10 is the first thing I notice there. ShadowDragon's machine in the other thread is also 9.0c

The outline does seem to be WAD in my 1024x768 shots, except it only pops in after moving the camera once.

Have similar issue. Starts when I place a town and shapes change as the town influence expands.

@Lomion Argarwaen, is it like mine or Strand's? (screen imprint or map imprint).  Posting a pic would be nice, as would a debug.err link on pastebin

I'll have to try actually playing a game with my imprints to see if it changes.

This issue has been resolved completely for me in the 0.23 version.

... and while my issue wasn't exactly the same, mine has also been resolved.
