[BUG] Text is badly rendered and sometimes too small

I'm on 1280x1024 (debug.err). various text is strange looking, slightly moved down, or way too small to be legible.

The white description text is generally unreadable, due to bad font choice and antialiasing. The "Add" and "done" buttons have a slight jaggy (only the add one), and are both moved slightly down from the center of the buttons. "available technologies" (at the top) is cut off at the bottom ("g"). Even the bold white text on black for the "unlocks" information is unpleasant on the eye. There seems to be a slight rightshift as if from a resized font in an image

note that the png image is one to one as on my screen:

I guess this goes here, as it's the only font related post I could find in the roundup.  Specifically, the fonts are not installed in 0.24.  The scout is completely missing attribute text, and the advanced selection screen for factions also has alignement issues.

I will be reinstalling the game to determine if this will fix the problem.

Confirmed on my resolution 1600x1050 regarding the font display - generally looks blurred on those screens

Font smoothing improves the shows in strand - however it then makes the options screens look a little blurry.

You don't have the correct font loaded--try copying the contents of the fonts folder to C:\Windows\Fonts.

Hm I have this problem also, so I will try this copy method.

Okay, I copied all of the fonts to the windows/fonts directory, but it didn't helped at all. [I am running the game as admin btw..]

It still looks like this:

What version of windows are you running? If you're on 7, you might need to actually right-click the fonts and opt to install them explicitly, rather than just copying them.

Windows Vista Ultimate x64 [SP2 is installed also].

Thanks for the help Kryo, this worked. It looks like that simply copying the fonts wasn't enough. :)
