DeskScapes 3 Beta 1 Release

We are excited to announce the release of DeskScapes 3 – Beta 1 to current Object Desktop subscribers.  DeskScapes is an application where users can apply animated backgrounds, also called .dreams, to their desktop.  DeskScapes 3 introduces a variety of new features, the most obvious being the completely new user interface.  If you are trying out the WindowBlinds 7 beta, you will certainly recognize and be familiar with it.  It’s much cleaner, and easier to navigate.

Another new feature is Effects.  These effects can be applied to a .dream to change and enhance the look.  This particular feature is only available to Windows Vista and Windows 7 users.

The last feature I will talk about today is live previews.  Now you will be able to view the .dream in action in the preview windows without having to apply it!

jchcolumbo : As it says at the bottom of the original post, The beta is available to Object Desktop Subscribers, So if you're not one of those, you won't find it. B[]

If you are an Object Desktop subscriber ii shows up in Impulse under the My Software tab.  You also have to have 'show prereleased version' selected in Impulse.

Hi Philly.  I have all of the correct perameters set and yet only get v2.90 beta.  I am using XP SP3.

Hi, everyone, I downloaded the Beta 3 also, and told it to run; but I'm still seeing v 2.90 beta. 'Sup with it? I'm anxious to try out the new stuff, but can't get to it. I think I'm gonna have an epic hissy fit in a minute.... :(  BTW, I'm running Vista Ultimate.

just wondering if you meant object dock instead of object desktop (not sure what that is) as it's available to me and i've only object dock.

n/m it's v2.5 not the beta, impulse is saying there's an update but that i don't have reg keys (how do insert a screenshot?)

I'm SO confused! When I try to download a dream, I don't know where the default dream folder is, so I can't get it to work from Impulse. Where do my dreams go now? I saw that we now have to click on the "apply" button in Impulse, but none of the dreams I use are there. Help?

Still far to buggy to use on my vista pc. just get black screen when returning from sleep mode. Shame because i like the concept.  (:(

I'd send that to [email protected] along with a description of the event, they will be able to help you.

In the mean time, have you got the latest drivers for your 7500? Your score of 3.9 looks a bit on the low side. Another thing to try is if you have nView installed, turn it off.

Thanks for that info Fuzzy, i dont have nView installed, and regarding contacting support, due to previous experiences i dont think i will bother. Thanks all the same.
