when i was in the middle of my game, i got warned i had less than -500Bc so i check my Domestic Stats to adjust my industrial spending, but it stayed at the same number... the wierdest thing is, it says im gaining 235Bc a week
When you get that warning, your empire basically shuts down until you get back above -500. No matter what your industrial slider is set at, you are actually producing zero (not entirely true, but close enough for this discussion). Compare the actual spending numbers on the right side with the spending numbers when you are above -500 to see this illustrated - or just look at one of your planets, all production will be zero, or very close to it.
