E:\data\OFFLINE\CA21F9C0\53B3C1D\OpeningCinematic.bik ERROR!

durring installation

During my install process, on a Vista, i get an error that says to check if E:\data\OFFLINE\CA21F9C0\53B3C1D\OpeningCinematic.bik exists and is accessible.

First, i pressed retry, and it started to continue. That happened about 5 times, but it was all the same error. The last time, i pressed retry, and it did not continue, so i found the file and it turned out to be read-only. My computer will not let me change the setting to accessible, even though i am the one and only administrator.

Before making the post, I checked on google and on this forum to see if the problem has happened before, and it came up with no hits.

Is there a vista update to solve this? Or is it just a faulty CD i should return?

Thanks all,

Mr. Biscuits

It's likely your drive not liking the disk, but you don't need to return it. The real Sins is your serial number, the cd is just a coaster.

Download Impulse from http://www.impulsedriven.com and install it. Run it, log in with the same account you use on these forums and then click on the Impulse orb in the top left and add registration. Put in your Sins serial, and you'll be able to download the most up to date version whenever you need and however many times you need. It will show up as "Available" in the My Games tab. Just select it and hit Install in the bottom right and it'll download and install it for you.
