Two things spring immediately to mind:

• I noticed that there is a fair degree of water bordering the map when it just starts out as a cube. Will this water be included in the finished game map, or is it "clipped" out?
• The continents still winf up looking more or less square, especially on the sides. I know (from Civ 4)it is possible to get rid of this, but how close are you to implimenting any solution.

Are we going to get inland seas/lakes? Based on the current method of map generation it doesn't look like we'll get any inland bodies of water... Another question is, will it be possible for this algorithm to generate worlds with wide, arcing land-masses? Currently it looks like it will generate a big blob and cut out small pieces from the shoreline to make it more irregular, but I see nothing happening that could result in long, sweeping, curving and bending land-masses.

Also, will there be no islands? Or does the game go through a process similar to the one shown in your videos for each individual land-mass, and then stitch them together into a bigger map?

Oh, phew. That is very good news BoogieBac, don't be sad Watching these videos was a lot of fun - and it was really interesting to see how the maps are generated, I just wanted to make sure it's also capable of more... advanced? things.

Just put up the first update for week 7. One week to go and the Alpha is still on track!!

Plus, Stardock is hiring right now, why don't they pick someone up whose only job is to update twitter (and maybe facebook or whatever other sites they're on, I don't know, I don't check them )

Or, better yet, they could hire me to do it for them, just send the Alpha and any internal status updates they send among themselves. I'd even be willing to do it for free. Please?

Surely people prefer you all working on the game than updating twitter. But being able to choose, people would prefer both, obviously.
