custom battles/battlefields

Okay considering that stardock is going to add a simple battle mode ( from what i interpret from the latest journal entry) and elemental is already designed to be mod friendly i was thinking that it make our own battlefield scenarios. think about it. you've already built your glorious army but sadly you never got the opportunity to see them in action. simple enough, just click battle mode from Main Menu, pick a field, conditions, factions and armies...(very similar to Total War series) and then fight a simple, yet complex, battle. Now for some modders being able to customize their own battlefields would be sweet.I for one have a few battlefield ideas.

If the game has an x com like battle format it would be neet to extend the battle amp, add destroyable terrain, and have small ish armyies hunt eachother down true x-com 40 minute batle style. would have ti be a mod .

Hmmm..... nonstop tactical combat? Might be interesting, but a FAIR amount of work for the devs, making UI's if nothing else..... they'd probably want to charge $$$ for it.....

Basically just a tactical battle unrelated to anything else?
